Founded by Rupert and Hennie Venter, and built alongside professional hunters and outfitters Henno Cronje and Craig Kelly-Maartens—who have been refining their craft since 2000—our safaris are grounded in decades of experience, deep knowledge of the land, and a genuine respect for wildlife and tradition. With over two decades of combined experience across Southern Africa, our professional hunters and outfitting team ensure every safari is carefully planned, personally guided, and tailored to each client. From the first enquiry to the final day in the field, our focus is on delivering ethical, meaningful, and unforgettable experiences in some of Africa’s most diverse and remarkable landscapes.

Our South African safaris are based in the well-known bushveld region of Swartruggens, where comfort meets the African wild. This region offers a classic safari environment with varied terrain and excellent accessibility, creating the perfect setting for a wide range of hunting opportunities. Guests are hosted in comfortable safari lodges that provide a peaceful retreat after each day in the field, blending relaxation with the atmosphere of the surrounding bush.

South Africa is known for its incredible diversity in both species and landscapes, and our safaris are designed to reflect exactly that. While Swartruggens forms one of our key operational bases, Dream Team Safaris also offers tailor-made hunting experiences across multiple provinces including Limpopo, the Eastern Cape, and the Western Cape. Each region brings its own unique character, terrain, and species, allowing hunters to explore a far broader range of Africa within one country. From open plains game country to dense bushveld and mountainous terrain, every destination offers something different, requiring its own approach, patience, and hunting style.
